In 2006 began the dream of a mural to celebrate the sister city relationship with Brunswick, Maine and Trinidad, Cuba.

Brunswick’s sister city connection to Trinidad, Cuba is unique and extraordinary. In celebration of a six plus year commitment and connection to this culturally rich World Heritage Site by UNESCO, we sponsored a large vibrant mural to be placed in the downtown business district.

Many meetings, dozens of fundraisers and many hours of painting later this 8 x 32 foot mural was unveiled to much fanfare on the wall of 11 Pleasant Street in Brunswick.

The best place to see the mural is, of course, in person at 11 Pleasant and it is well worth the trip. However, if a road trip isn’t in the schedule right now, you can see the mural in more detail on the main Mural page here
→
. You can zoom in and pan around to see more detail.
